TAXes are part of the plan
High income can create tax decisions across compensation, investments, retirement plans, and practice ownership. We coordinate those decisions rather than treating taxes as a separate conversation.
YOUR TIME IS TOO VALUABLE
Financial decisions should work together. We coordinate the moving pieces so you spend less time managing your financial life and more time on the people and work that matter to you.
YOUR CAREER CHANGES THE PLAN
Healthcare compensation, employer benefits, insurance, student loans, practice ownership, and career transitions create decisions that generic planning often misses.
Healthcare Careers Create Financial Decisions Most Advisors Never See
You are earning more than you ever have, but your financial life may still feel less coordinated than it should.
Taxes take a significant bite, but no one has shown you how compensation, retirement plans, investments, and tax strategy fit together.
You may have met advisors who understand investments but not the realities of healthcare compensation, employer benefits, student debt, practice ownership, and career transitions.
Between patients, work, call schedules, family, and everything else, financial planning is easy to keep pushing to another day.
If you are ready for an advisor who understands your world, schedule a consultation.
Medicine for Your Money™
Financial planning forhealthcare professionals often starts with the same challenge: too many important decisions and too little time to coordinate them well. Compensation, taxes, employer benefits, student loans, insurance, investments, and career transitions can affect one another in ways that are easy to miss when each decision is handled separately.
Ruiz Financial Group works with healthcare professionals, with particular experience serving physicians and dentists, to coordinate those decisions around the life and career they are building.
Your Time Is Too Valuable to Spend on Financial Complexity
Between your patients, your practice, and your family, there is no time left in the day for financial planning. We help simplify financial complexity so you do not have to, from investment management to tax strategy to retirement planning, all coordinated into one cohesive plan that evolves with your career.
High income creates opportunities for thoughtful tax planning
Doctors are among the highest-taxed professionals in the country. We work with your tax professional to identify and coordinate tax strategies across your career, not just at year end.
An Advisor Who Actually Understands Your World
We intentionally focus on physicians and dentists because medical careers create financial challenges that differ from most professions. Our training and experience are applied to the complexity of high-income medical careers.
Every Career Transition Brings New Financial Decisions
From residency to attending, from employed to private practice, from partner to retirement, each phase of a medical career brings a new set of financial decisions. We help you navigate each transition so your financial plan evolves as fast as your career does.
insurance and benefits need to work together
Healthcare professionals can face financial risks that vary by role and career stage, including disability, professional liability, gaps in employer benefits, and other coverage needs. We help identify and quantify those risks, then decide which ones make sense to accept and which may be better transferred. Those decisions are coordinated with the rest of your financial plan.
YOUR RETIREMENT PLAN SHOULD FIT THE BIGGER PICTURE
Healthcare professionals often accumulate retirement benefits across employers and plan types. We help evaluate contribution decisions, tax treatment, investment allocation, and how workplace retirement accounts fit with the rest of your financial plan.
A Process Built Around Your Time
A straightforward process designed to respect your time.
Step one
Start a Conversation
In person, virtually, or by phone
We’ll start with what prompted you to reach out, what’s on your mind, and what you’d like help thinking through. There’s nothing you need to prepare and no decision you need to make. If it makes sense to continue, we’ll decide together what the next step should be.
Step two
Explore What Makes Sense
Take a deeper look at your situation
If another conversation would be useful, we’ll take a deeper look at your financial picture, priorities, and the decisions in front of you. We’ll identify what deserves attention, how the pieces connect, and what working together could look like. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of the next step, without pressure to move forward.
step three
Build Your Plan
Build your plan and put it into action
Once you decide to move forward, we’ll gather the information we need and begin building your SMART Plan™ around your priorities and financial life. Our team will guide you through the process, coordinate the details, and help turn the decisions we’ve discussed into an ongoing plan.

Questions Healthcare Professionals Ask Us
Do you work only with physicians and dentists?
No. Ruiz Financial Group works with healthcare professionals whose financial lives have become complex enough that the pieces need to be coordinated. We have particular experience serving physicians and dentists, but many of the same planning issues affect other healthcare professionals, including taxes, employer benefits, student loans, retirement plans, insurance, investments, and career transitions.
Can you help with my 403(b), 401(k), 401(a), 457(b), or other employer retirement plan?
Yes. We can help evaluate contribution decisions, investment choices, tax treatment, and how your employer retirement accounts fit with the rest of your financial plan. The options available inside each plan vary by employer, so we start by understanding what your specific plan allows before making recommendations.
How should student loans fit into the rest of my financial plan?
Student loan decisions can affect cash flow, taxes, retirement contributions, investing, and other goals. Rather than treating repayment as an isolated decision, we compare the available strategies in the context of the rest of your financial life. You can also use our Student Loan Strategy Calculator to explore possible tradeoffs.
What changes financially when I move from training to attending, change employers, or become an owner?
A career transition can affect far more than your paycheck. Compensation, taxes, retirement plans, insurance, student loans, benefits, cash flow, and investment decisions can all change at the same time. We help identify what the transition touches and coordinate the decisions in the right order.
How do you help with taxes if you are not my CPA?
Tax planning is part of the financial-planning process. We look for decisions involving compensation, retirement contributions, investments, charitable giving, and other areas that may have tax consequences, then coordinate with your tax professional when appropriate. Tax preparation and filing remain the responsibility of your CPA or tax preparer.
Student Loan
Strategy Calculator
Student loan decisions do not happen in isolation. Repayment options, forgiveness opportunities, taxes, and career stage can all change the right answer. Our Student Loan Strategy Calculator helps healthcare professionals compare repayment scenarios and think through the tradeoffs before making their next move.
